Artists Wanted

Cane Auction

Virtually everything we sell is unique, and one of a kind.  Some of the very special items we intend to auction.  Probably not the fancy-pants formats you see on the big-league sites on the web.  But so as to provide opportunities for all.  The artist shares in the ending bid of any artistic auction item.  And for the canes that are dogs and cats, hey, there might be a bargain in your future.

That means you might get the one and only super-special cane an artist signed with pride.  Or you might an artist's second, something slightly bruised or scuffed.  If a cane is top quality, we'll tell you outright.  And if it's not quite perfect, we'll be equally forthright.  Oftentimes, an almost perfect cane one can afford is a whole lot better than none at all.

And quite honestly, there are a few that make real good toothpicks.   However, even these have a use.  In stormy winter weather, a kickabout cane you don't care so much about is the perfect thing.  Or if, like myself, you have a dog that thinks canes make great decorated dog bones.  (so what's a few fangmarks between friends?)
